Question about Canon CFX-L4000 Plain Paper Laser Fax
We recently moved our offices and are still using our old L4000 fax. When we are receiving faxes it seems to take forever. Do we have to change a setting? We have no manual which seems to be a common problem. Any suggestions on the speed of this thing or where to get a manual? Thanks in advance for any help...
Presumably, no -one has changed any settings on the machine. If the problem occurs on all received faxes, I would suspect the tel line. The machine automatically slows down the data reception to the slowest speed necessary to receive clean data. What that means is, there is unacceptable noise somewhere on the line, due to a bad connection between the machine and the tel pbx. To check this, try a different location, either the previous one or even a different jack in the office.
