However after pluging it back in, the unit still belives there is a disk inside, is their a way i can adjust the tray to its origional position so the unit llows me to put a knew cd in??

I have the same problem, what is the best thing to do in this situation. I put a cd in, played it for a week straight, started skipping which i thought was odd, but then again it was cold out and once it got warm it didnt skip anymore. Then out of nowhere it just read error _02, now it wont eject cd and keeps reading that code every time i try and eject the disk. Do i have to take it apart to fix it? and get my cd out?

Pioneer avh-p6500dvd error 02 9e

there is a small little rubber band that drives the gears that opens the tray. It is possible that this has either broken or come off track. You may need to pull the unit out and remove the cover to see, or if your not comfortable doing this take it to like a best buy or something and their techs can help you out.

I have a cd stuck in my cd player there is 2 little metal pieces holding it in there and I don't know how to release it. when I push the eject button it says no disk but there is a disk in there. can you...

Had the same problem, I removed the unit from the car took the top off the unit and pushed eject after I plugged it back into power I never put that cd back into the unit. The two bars come down as you slide the cd in. If you would like to attempt this good luck and hope it works out, you may have to fiddle with things to release the cd try it a few times with another cd before you put it back together.

My clarion CD player in my Nissan Primera P12 2004 will not eject the discs can this be rectified and would it be expensive.

Check first that it is not a single disk stuck inside.

Try pressing repeatedly the eject button on the on dash player while at the same time you start the stereo.

If that does not work you can try disconnecting the car battery to reset the unit, and then attempt again the procedure above.

Remember that you may be asked stereo code after disconnecting battery, have it ready.

If still no luck, then the unit must be removed from the dash to be taken apart, so to remove the stuck disk.

In that case the repair may require replacement of CD drive unit or front panel. When disk does not exject repair done from a local technician may be expensive. Usually better replacing the whole stereo unit.

PS: Here the procedure above illustrated in detail. The procedure is described for home DVD players, but it is the same on any optical unit, including in-dash stereo. Naturally , since the unit is an in-car system, you do not have power cord, but you will need to disconnect battery to reset the system: player system won't eject disk.

Disk is stuck in a multi-disk CD player. How do

You didn't specify the make and model of the unit you have, but I can give you some basic steps that should help you resolve the problem based on past experience with other similar units.
First unplug the unit. Then remove the screws that hold the cover on the unit. Remove the cover. Any CDs that are not in their holding places that may have fallen into the unit, reach in carefully and remove them from the unit and set them in their jewel cases. If the unit was not ejecting the disk and it was stuck, check to see if the CD was perhaps stuck between the spindle and the arm that holds the CD to the spindle. That happens sometimes on CD players. If that is the case, you should be able to remove the CD anyway but you have to be careful and not be too forceful to any mechanisms involved. I hope that helps.

We just bought a new cd and it's stuck in the car stereo

Hi there,
If you like you can read throuh the manual for further help if this fails,
at this address :

However the units have a forcible eject mode, im raking my brain for it but i think 90%  sure its as follows...
Try pressing and holding eject and the power button at the same time for about three to five seconds, the machine shoudl buzz louder then normal an do a full eject cycle for about 2 seconds,
If worse comes to worse you can take off the outer casing  four screws (if not under warranty) and carefully lift the disc slightly and slide it out. Take care to to force anything as you can damage/scratch the unit.
Another option is that you ring the Kenwwod customer service number and ask how them what the button press combination is for forcibly ejecting cds from the unit. you may need to ask for someone in repairs there to get a knowlegable answer,
Hope this helps
