I have Canon 450D and occasionally it say "? Cannot Display Image".

for no apparent reason, even when the image HAS been viewed before. Some times the image will download to computer so all is not lost, but I downloaded one into Lightroom the other day, saw the image, great. Today, Lightroom has a grey window where the image should be and I cannot access the image. Can anyone help please? I really need this image and also would like to know for future reference. Canon website hopeless and frustrating! Rosie.

Tips for camera

Using the camera:
Your phone has a flash to help you to take pictures in different lighting environments. The flash is on by default, but you can turn it off or use the automatic setting. To set the desired mode when using the camera, select Options > Flash and Flash off, Flash on or Automatic.
Fast viewing with memory card To view your images and video clips quicker, use your memory card as the main memory for storing them.
In the camera application, select Options > Settings > Image / video storage > Memory card.
Capture and send You can send the picture immediately after you have taken it when you are previewing it. To display a picture immediately after you take it, select Options > Settings > Image preview time and the preview time. During the preview time, select Back to take another picture, or Send to send the picture as a multimedia message.
Print your images Your phone supports Nokia XpressPrint to print images that are in .jpg format. To print your pictures, connect your phone to a compatible printer using a data cable or send the image by Bluetooth to a printer supporting Bluetooth technology. Select the image you want to print from the Gallery, and when viewing the picture, select Options > Print.

Why wont HP M407 live view work?

If live view does not work is not to dramatic, but when you can't open pictures you took it becomes scary. With not to be able to open your pictures, does that mean the .jpg gives an error, or does the screen stay boac?
If so, I think we have to fear the image sensor or the connection to the image sensor is defect.. I don't think it will be worth trying to repair a 10 year old camera, but if there was never any leaking of batteries in the camera, that could have oxidised or even eaten contacts or cables, perhaps you once could open the camera, before trowing it in the bin.
Check if any flat cable came lose of something else gets you attention.
I would start saving for a new camera. (I'm saving to for a new camera, but for a different one)

After I take picture, the picture is captured & shown but when I try to view,(by pressing playback) it displays 'Cannot playback Image' with a big question mark. When I downloaded & tried to view...

Check to make sure that you did not accidentally change image format from jpg to crw(camera raw). Your camera lcd will only display jpg files and you need special software to view raw files on the pc.

View image files on my P90 display

Not really. Most cameras, including the P90, are designed not to show images not captured on that device (or at least the same model device). If it's a paper map, you could always try to photograph it. Photographing something off a computer screen is a little harder.

Why are the pic small when viewing them on the computer. They are presented in a img.jpg format rather than simpy jpg. Is there a way to configure my camera Canon Power shot A550 to take pics only in a JPG...

img.jpg just means a j-peg's normal. If the pics are small, maybe you have the picture quality on the camera set to a low setting and less than the maximum megapixels.

Viewing pictures

No its due to corrupted files! or Virus! If you r talking about memory card then copy all the non infected files and format the card to avoid more loss.

No images

Look in Explorer at the .jpg files on your card to make sure they have information in each file. Next, make sure your software is set to view .jpg files,i.e. Faststone Image viewer ( can be set for virtually any image format. If you viewed the images on the lcd monitor they were on the card at that time. Make sure you haven't somehow protected those image files or have accidentally reformatted it.

SD card

Once connected to your PC you can copy virtually any file to the SD card and transport it home. However, in doing so you do risk the possibility that the camera may not be able to properly display the existing images on its LCD screen. The files won't be damaged, so they can be manually copied to the PC afterwards. In a similar situation, .JPG images you obtain from other sources can be coped to the SD card for temporary storage, but the camera may not display them properly. In any of the above cases when a problem is experienced, manually copy the files to te PC anf reformat the SD card IN THE CAMERA.
