Re: corn flies in display screen

Pretty unusual problem. hehehe! My advice is not to open the monitor. your monitor contains radio active materials that's hazardous to your health. and im pretty sure you do not have the right tools to open up a monitor. bring it to a local repair shop and have it fixed there instead. since it's not needing any parts replacement it should cost you $50 for the labor only.

hope this helps

When the computer starts, the display appears....but instantly it turns black....and again i turn on the monitor the display reappears and then then instantly goes black....the same thing happens again and...

Please connect an external monitor to the PC removing the present one. If the PC boots and the display stays steady the fault is confirmed to be on the monitor. If so we need to check on the power supply before confirming that it is relative of the main board and will require closer look.
However if the display acts the same manner then PC motherboard has a fault , it can be with the display drivers, the power supply or the mother board.
Take consensus to estimate and decide.

Thunder flies in my monitor

Hmmm, Thunder flies usually are found on plants and vegetables, how did they get in your computer?

Regardless, they shouldn't stay alive in there too long, as they don't have any food feed off. Normally, I'd say don't worry about it and just let them die, but you may need to go in there and clean them out manually so they don't spread around your house too much.

Monitor displays Msg. frequency out of range, screen is black

Start your computer and press the F8 when the manufacturer's logo screen is showing. This will bring you to the Windows startup menu. Pick "start in VGA mode" and windows will start up with video settings you monitor can handle. Then you can change your video settings so Windows will start normally with your monitor.

Samsung SyncMaster 192N loses picture; requires re-boot

Unfortunately, you two have two unrelated problems. CB, the monitor isn't asking you for the password, that's the computer itself going into hibernation, which shuts down the video output, hard drive, etc. You need to go into the power-save settings and either disable hibernate, or change the settings to your liking.

The other question about the screen staying on for 5 seconds... thats an inverter board problem.
