Re: Doesn't start

Is there power in your wall socket? Does any light on the machine come on? Check your washer-plug. The fuse inside the plug could be defective......

What does E27 on display mean

Bosch washers come with built-in sets of error codes used to diagnose and correct common problems. The E27 code isn't often listed in Bosch manuals but relates to the washer door lock

The E27 error flashes on the washer LCD screen and stops the current load. Unplug your washer for 30 minutes and then plug it back in to reset the code.

Open and close the door two or three times to reset the sensor. Sometimes the door has been closed too hard and the sensor reading fails.

Make sure that the door switch is working when the door is closed.Or else the set might beep and will not work. Check your control board connections.

Washing machine wont start - close door message

Most likely faulty door lock or door catch.

To access it, remove the clamp from drum front seal, and remove the seal from the front of the cabinet, undo the 2 screws that secure the door lock, and remove.

To test wether the lock is faulty or not, put a link wire across the (L) and (C)

connections on the lock, the m/c should now work, if it does not, then you have

a more serious problem.

Whirlpool Duet washing machine will not start a cycle.

sounds as if its a door latch/lock issue, not recognizing the door closed will simply beep 3 times when the start button is depressed. try unplugging and replugging after 2 min.

Machine won't start and clicks if turned on with door open

Ok, this is the fix:

No payload. Close the door. Press off, then press on. Then enter a program starting by selecting the fabric and the others as usual. Do not press start, instead press the slip button to advance the programme to the very last phase, ie drain and empty. Then press start. It will perform this operation with no load and pump out the “no water”. This part takes 5 minutes. After the 5 mins the programme will end and the machine will beep annoyingly, but the computer will be reset and you can clear the program and use the machine as normal.

I had the same problem. The stupid computer inside remembers the program whilst it’s off and unplugged. What has happened is you accidently pressed start and start again to pause it in very quick succession. This confuses the computer and it thinks that a program is in progress. This is why it wants to close the door. There is no problem with the latch (unless it is a separate problem). You have to let it play out a program to reset it, which is why you can play the very last “drain” segment.

Presumably there’s a way to reset the computer either by a secret button combo or shorting out two pins from the computer box. I don’t know. If someone knows this please tell me.

Good Luck!
