What you are experiencing is known as "water hammer" It is caused when flowing water under pressure is turned off rapidly. The pipes then shake from the shock of the shutoff. Properly routed and secured water lines are less prone to this anomaly. You can install water hammer arrestors on the washer supply lines. They can be purchased at almost any hardware store or home center. Water hammers can cause pipe joints to fail and should be avoided if possible. The one below connects directly to the washer supply fitting. You then connect the washer hose to it. You'd need one for the hot and another for the cold line.

Maytag when filling hot water it seems to switch between hot and cold when on hot it seems to be pulsating in the pipes where I can hear it in through the house.

If you are experiencing pulsating hot water in your Maytag washing machine, it is likely due to an issue with the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the hot and cold water that enters the washer. Over time, it can become worn or damaged, which can cause the water flow to pulsate or switch between hot and cold.
To fix this issue, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. This can be done either by a professional or on your own, although it is recommended to seek help from a professional if you are inexperienced with appliance repairs.
Before replacing the water inlet valve, you should also check the hoses for any blockages or kinks, as this can also cause pulsating water flow. Additionally, inspect the pressure switch and the timer, as these can also be a source of the problem.
Once the repair is complete, ensure to check the water pressure in the washer to make sure that it is operating correctly.

I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher model no. ADG 6340 IX.The inlet valve is pulsing and letting in water on every pulse. It just keeps filling, over fills and trips elcb

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
This is a very common problem with these types of machines the water inlet valve has a solinoid for the hot and a solinoid for the cold that opens and closes the water on demand .
When they start to pulsate like this it is trying to close the valve but it cant this is normally due to the valve being clogged with debris or the valve is failing all together and simply needs to be replaced
So what i would do is first if you can look into the inlet valve with a flashlight and see ifit looks like it has stuff in it and if so clean it out and try it again if this doesnt work than you can assum that the valve will need to be replaced here is what the one of the valves should look like or close to it .

Water leak on back wall of my freezer and a hell of noise from my icemaker when on

Water leak and noise are due to wrong temp setting or malfunction of defrost cycking.Keep temp setting between 3 and 5 degree centigrade. Due to over frosting, the freezer fan fan hits over the ice and working to cool fridge compartment. And also check defrost timer, and heaterworking properly to defrost in time. And if your ice maker is making sound, due to:
  • You will hear a buzzing sound when the water valve opens to fill the water reservoir for each cycle.
  • Rattling noises may come from the flow of the refrigerant or water line. Items stored on top of the ice maker can also make noises.
  • The high-efficiency compressor may make a pulsating or high-pitched sound.
  • Water running over the evaporator plate may make a splashing sound.
  • Water running from the evaporator plate to the water reservoir may make a splashing sound.
  • As each cycle ends, you may hear a gurgling sound due to the refrigerant flowing in your ice maker.
  • You may hear air being forced over the condenser by the condenser fan.
  • During the harvest cycle, you may hear a "thud" when the ice sheet slides from the evaporator onto the cutter grid.
  • When you first start the ice maker, you may hear water running continuously. The ice maker is programmed to run a rinse cycle before it begins to make ice.

Displaying LE

Lg has a water pulsator which rotates while filling up with water. If pulsator is faulty, you will get this LE indication. Pulsator is found on bottom left hand side of unit when cover is removed. 2 clear water pipes are connected to it and there is a small plug in that has 2 wires. Remove plug in first then remove from the pipes.

Pump is pulsating , not pumping full pressure , water supply and screens checked out ok pump model sjv3g627-1 on a briggs 6.5 hp

Pulsating is usually due to a leak. It could be the pump leaking or the hose, gun or wand leaking. Is there water coming out of these anywhere it is not meant to?

It could also be a valve is not closing properly or a seal needs replacing.

Pulsating water in the hot water cycle

id be curious as to the age of this machine, because the newer models have what teh call adaptive water temp sensors that will optimize the water temp automatically.. your hot water may be "too hot" and your cold can be "too cold" and the valve corrects to a preset temp. this sounds like whats happening
