Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Mitsubishi WD-52525 projection TV volume control

The front panel controls seem to stuck on my TV. I push the volume control to increase or decrease the sound and it will change momentarily but revert right back to the same setting within seconds. None of the other front panel controls seem to work and neither does the remote. Only the off on button.
I tried the system reset button but that did not correct the problem.

Re: Mitsubishi WD-52525 projection TV volume control

Check owner / operator manual for "panel lock" selection or
go through menu pages until you spot it........
This selection is made so guests or children cannot operate tv.
In case this suggestion fails, you might try hard reset = unplug
AC cord overnight,then try again...........T.

Model #57733 - Volume will randomly increase without notice. Remote control no longer communicating. Have tried the reset button.

the volume control is increasing randomly on it's own because the volume button on the TV is partially stuck in, that is why its coming up occasionally. This same thing may also happen to the remote control of the TV.

Use your find to rub the buttons on the buttons on the TV, especially the volume control button. Do same on the remote and most definitely problem should be solved.

Please give me a feedback if solution does not work for you.

The screen seems dark and blurry

take off the front panel carefully, usually 2 screws around the controls. Next, stick your head in and look at the red green and blue tubes. see if they are dirty? if, not look further into the tube using aflaslight and see if there is a white pasty looking substance inside. IF so, you need to clean as you have bacteria growing in the cooling fluid. A big job and you need the gaskets, can order from Mitsubishi tech support..good luck be careful.

Control board assembly (internal - not front panel)

Try reseting the remote.....hold down the power 00, or 01....then release the power button......Or maybe the parental control is engaged...........On this model all the boards are interconnected in one shielded unit.....That a certified experienced tech wouldn't want to dis-assemble/reassemble in the home.
