How do get water flow through the shower filter screen?

I have descaled my machine regularly, after the last descaling, it worked without issues for around 5 mugs. After this there was little flow through the shower screen/filter, removing the filter the water flowed freely, a cleaning of the screen only minimaly helped the flow.

Hi Colin:
There is a product called CLR that we use regularly on our coffe machine, kettle, metal coffee travel mugs, thermos etc. Could be you're in an area where your source water has a lot of mineral content. Do you have similar problems with other appliances? If so, the problem lies with the water supply and not the coffee machine.
Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "Ted Thanks for that, I also apologies as I forgot to mention I use filtered water only in the machine, a twin cartridge undersink type. Since using that filter, amazing how much cleaner all other appliances are. I am starting to think its the filter screen a replacement is not expensive & worht a try, as the machine is over 10 years olf may have had its day, though a great machine."

My Cuisinart Grind and Brew does not brew. Cannot clean or descale since the water or solution does not pass thru.

Check Water Reservoir: Ensure that the water reservoir is properly seated in place and filled with water to the appropriate level. Sometimes, the machine won't brew if it detects an inadequate water level. Check Water Inlet and Outlet: Inspect the water inlet and outlet for any clogs or blockages. Sometimes, debris or mineral buildup can prevent water from flowing through the machine. Clean any visible obstructions carefully. Descale the Machine: If the issue is due to mineral buildup, descaling the coffee maker might help. Use a commercial descaling solution or a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Run this solution through the machine as you would during a regular brewing cycle. Afterward, run a few cycles with plain water to rinse out any residue. Inspect Grinder and Filter Basket: Check the grinder and filter basket for any coffee grounds or other debris that might be obstructing the flow of water. Ensure that the grinder and filter basket are correctly positioned and securely locked in place. Clean the Brew Head: The brew head may also become clogged with coffee grounds or oils, affecting water flow. If your machine has a removable brew head, take it out and clean it thoroughly. If it's not removable, follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning the brew head. Run a Cleaning Cycle: Some coffee makers have a cleaning cycle that helps remove buildup inside the machine. Refer to your user manual for instructions on how to activate the cleaning cycle. Reset the Machine: In some cases, a simple reset can resolve minor issues. Turn off the coffee maker, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and try brewing again.
Check the tubes: Make sure the tubes are sitting in the right place and filled to the correct level. Sometimes the machine will not make alcohol if it senses that there is not enough water.

Error code 5 on saeco minuto coffee machine

Error code 5 means the water flow is obstructed. Here are possible locations:
1- The machine was not descaled. Calcium deposits are clogging the water system.

2- The flow meter is not passing impulses for water flow speed & quantity.

3- Descale Descale Descale.
Before you select the automatic descaling, make a few espresso without adding coffee grounds. The automatic cycle does not clean the coffee side of the machine. You have to do it intentionally.

Powerstar ae125 runs hot then cold in shower

Increase your flow, sounds like you are right at your activation rate.
1 way is to turn down the temp on the machine, so you dont have to mix in so much cold at your shower. Check to see if your mixing valve is bad, or your showerhead has restriction/scale built up in it.The other way is to turn on your lavatory fixture full hot before showering(which will keep hot water flowing through the machine as you adjust your temp to be comfortable.

Hot water tap no longer works. Cleaned out deposits and it still only drips out. What needs to be done. I fear the boiler is corroded or the tap is blocked with calcium despite the water filtering system....

Because the hot water spout is controlled by gravity, it is partially clogged, Here is a little story and see if this helps,Let me know

Have you ever wondered, 'how do I descale my expresso machine?' First lets us understand what is exactly is scaling. The build up of minerals inside the hot parts of your coffee machine or espresso machine is commonly called lime scale. When lime scale builds up inside the Espresso machine, it slows down the water flow, reduces the boiler capacity and can prevent your coffee machine from working properly. To keep your Espresso machine operational at full order, it is important to descale it every three months. The time intervals between descaling depend upon many factors. Quality of your water and the amount of water running through the machine are the two main factors that decide the frequency at which you should descale your Espresso machine. The more you your machine, more often should you descale it. In some cities, in conjunction with a water filter you can use your coffee machine for a year or more without descaling at all. If you use less water by drinking espressos you'll need to descale less often than if you make cappuccinos.

Descaling products are widely available from stores that sell coffeemakers and espresso machines. Be sure that the product you buy to descale your Espresso machine is intended for this specific use only. Before you descale your Espresso machine, always unplug it and make sure that it is cold. Also, never immerse the appliance in water and nor should you use abrasive cleaning products or scouring materials on any part of your Expresso machine. In case your Espresso machine does not come with a instruction guide or booklet, then use a proper citric acid based descaling solution designed for espresso machines. This should be mixed and prepared as per the instructions on the bottle or packet. Once your Espresso machine has been descaled properly you would not be left wondering, 'how do I descale my expresso machine?', treat yourself to a great cup of coffee. Some popular models of Espresso machines are Krups EA8080 Espresseria Automatic, DeLonghi Magnifica EAM3200S, Krups Nespresso CitiZ & Milk XN 7106 Fire-engine red, DeLonghi Perfecta ESAM5400, DeLonghi PrimaDonna ESAM6600, DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM4200S, DeLonghi Perfecta ESAM5500 and Magimix Nespresso Citiz M190.

Water for steamer but no water flows to make coffee

Remove the screw and shower screen under the brew head, make sure screen is clean, try running the head to see if water flows, if no water remove allen wrench screws, and check spring and valve seat, DO NOT LOSE SPRING AND VALVE. Try running head, if water does not flow, reassemble and descale machine.

Espresso does not make

Remove the portafilter and press the brew button, if the water flows from the head with a nice flow then the problem is with the grind (too fine), or the coffee has been Tamp too hard.
If water barely flows when you press the button then try backwashing the machine and removing the shower screen to clean it.
