Colours inaccurate in windows

I have an ip4300 and under windows using turboprint drivers colour seems flawless, as far as I can tell, but in windows using the official driver skin comes out yellowed and light turquoise becomes deep blue.

Re: Colours inaccurate in windows

Didn't work even with the cartridges that came with it which were genuine Cannon. It isn't a hardware problem as under Linux using Turboprint drivers the colours are just fine. I was wondering if there was anything I could do in software to save me having to switch back to linux whenever I need to print colour.

HP Photosmart 2575 All-In-One, prints black but all blur and inaccurate, no colours

Hello Mikael,

you need to clean head on your printer. This is usually done via software that came with your printer. This usually happens, if you do not use your printer regulary, the ink dries and causes problems like this.

Hi, It sounds like you need an updated driver for your printer to match with win.7. Go to the lexmark site and download a new driver for your printer. And after that do an alignment page.
Good luck

Canon ip4300 color ink empty but I only want black

No, Canon does not have this facility. Also mostly greyscale is not light black but rather a mixcture of the 3 primary colours. You should have a reset/resume button on the printer - hold this in for a slow 5 seconds to de-activate ink warnings per cartridge that is giving alarms. Proceed carefully and only print text that is black so that the colour printheads do not burn out.

Does not print the black colour; all the other colours are perfect, except the black. I replaced the cartridge ( a completely new one ) and still does not work.

Try to run Head Cleaning utility of your printer. This will force your printer to recharge so that it can dispense black ink that you placed recently.

If you are using Windows:

  1. Click Start button => Settings => Printers and Faxes
  2. Locate your printer icon. Right click on it and click "Printing Preferences".
  3. Look for the "Maintenance" Tab in the window that appears. There you will see commands for "Alignments" and "Head Cleaning" or some similar commands.
I suggest that you just perform this once since Head Cleaning consumes ink.

No, the new printers do not mix the ink when the black has run out. when the ink is out it is out and needs replacing. The modern range of printers are far more advanced in their technology and require all inks to be full in order to work correctly.
