Question about Karcher RC3000 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

1 Answer

Karcher rc3000 The robo vacuum was working just fine.  The other morning, I looked at it and there were no lights on.  Now nothing happens.  Obviously a major failure.  I will be a little bit ticked off if this is broken for the money that has been spent on it.  I can't find any service center listed.

Can't switch Karcher window vac off

I had the same problem and I let the battery run down to stop it cycling on and off. My husband investigated it and found that there is a fault with the on board battery charge sensing circuit. (when the charge is about 10 to 15 % remaining the onboard ic controller cycles the unit on and off, irrespective of the switch. He checked it by cutting wires to the switch and it still cycled off and on so the switch was not faulty.
He put it all back together and said to charge it before it gets too low. If it cycles on and off it probably needs a re charge at that point.
Unfortunately there is no battery level indicator on the tool and nothing to suggest in the manual of what may happen when battery is flattening.
I am taking this up with Karcher as I only used it three times so far and it it was not a cheap gadget. Hope this helps

Notices some problem with suction on my Karcher RC3000. Much of the dust remains on the brush and doesn't get sucked in. Service couldn't advise anything. Any ideas?

The air passages through the machine may be plugged, or the impeller (fan) on the motor is slipping on the shaft so that no vacuum is produced. Remove the brush assembly to check the air passage behind it and inspect the brush bearings for collections of thread, string, and hair. Also, inspect the debris collection area for air passage blocking. If there is a filter where the air discharges that might be plugged. Hope some of this helps!

RC3000 cannot return to the base smoothly

Mine was doing the same thing.  Turned out to be dust that had gathered inside preventing the electric eyes (ir sensors) from work well.  Carefully using some lock ring pliers turn the three grey fasteners 90 degrees counter clockwise.  Then lift off the yellow top cover.  Using an air hose or soft brush clean the sensors sticking up from the circuit board.  Be careful not to bend the out ones has they are not hard mounted.  The also clean the inside of the IR windows on the yellow top cover.  While your at it take the time to blow out all the dust from the unit.  You should remove the inner screen prior to using compressed air so you can blow out the vac fan itself.  About every six months I do this or when it starts to act weird.  You should blow of all sensors on the base unit also.
