Question about JVC KD-LX111 CD Player
I recently bought a used car with a JVC KD-LX111 in it, and I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to connect my mp3 player to the system, so that I can listen to my mp3 player through the car's audio system.
I've looked at the user's manual, and I understand there is an adaptor (KS-U57) that I would need to connect an external unit. (I even think I've located the connection site--in the glove box.) But when I looked at the KS-U57 webpage on the JVC website, it only mentioned VCPs. I couldn't tell, from the picture, whether the ends of the adaptor would accept a standard headphone jack. (I have an extension chord with two "male" ends on it, so it the adaptor would allow it, I could plug one end into the adaptor and one end into the mp3 player.)
Thanks, in advance, for any help you can offer.
The KS-U57 is the correct adapter for that headunit. I am actually buying that same head unit for my car and I wanted to play my Zune through the radio. And i hate FM Modulators/Transmitters so aux is the only option i want. but you could buy the adapter from crutchfield http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=105KSU57&tp=1672&tab=other_items&viewAll=True hope that helps :)
