I have a Frigidaire dishwasher it is showing a code cl which means its not closed. I just replaced the latch with a bran new one and still is reading the code. any suggestions

The Frigidaire Appliances company designed most of its dishwashers to visually alert and display to users that the door is ajar, via the "CL" code. The dishwasher won't start pumping in hot water or rotating the spray arms until the door is secure.

Based off what you have described you have performed multiple tests to your Frigidaire dishwasher and it continues to display a "CL". That code does stand for close door which can mean that the door switch is sensing it is opened. For this error code it could be a possible problem with your door switch or main control. I understand you stated that the control did not appear to have a burn inside of it so it is easy to assume that the door latch could be the issue. If the door seems to be closed then it is the control has detected an issue with the door latch. Check the door latch & seals to make sure door is closing fine. Unplug the dishwasher from power outlet and wait for 10-15 minutes. Restart the dishwasher and check if the error is still there. The door switch has failed. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru testing and replacing. It may be a different model but the process will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model.

The CL is letting you know that the door was closed. If it continues to show CL it means you need to close and latch before the cycle will run. If it just flashes your okay.

Code "Cl" on Frigidaire means the door is not closed. Could be a bad door latch.

sound as if your having an issue with the latch not closing properly( switches not making contact inside) yo can take apart, requires dropping the front panels and checking the switches, or replace the entire switch costs about 60 bucks part number 154529403 (black handle)
