The Power Connector has probably come unsoldered inside the PS2 console. The motherboard is a multilayered board and normal soldering can sometimes total a motherboard. Click on "Repair Directory" at the bottom of this Screen. Click on "Video Game Consoles" on the next Screen, Investigate which Repair shop can help you best.

try unplugging the AC cord from the wall and wait 5 minutes before plugging in.

My play station 2 slim wont go on to the green light when turnd on it just stays on the red light,when you push the button it trys to go green but goes stright back on to red.
do this:
- unplug the AC cord from the wall.
- wait a couple minutes before plugging back in.

try this:

- turn off PS2
- unplug PS2 and wait 1 minute
- plug in PS2 and turn it on

usually, there is a problem with a ribbon cable of power/reset switch. Try using a replacement ribbon of the same type.
