How do I get a Philips DVD player to work with a Bush 1080p LED TV?

Please verify the correct tv source is selected as i think the green screen is the no signal indicator.

If it is the correct source , perhaps the tv is not compatible with the output of the dvd player. It might be wide screen or wrong aspect ratio and gives you a green screen .

If neither of those help, be sure to try another cable.

You have the wires connected to the wrong connectors in the back of the TV, If you are using the Red/white and Yellow wires coming out of the DVD player, make sure you are connecting them to the COMPOSITE input on the back of the TV -- NOT the COMPONENT inputs.

Try and find HDMI settings and set it to 1080p.. Be sure to use a HDMI cable.

This trouble is commonly cause by a weak signal, try to check all the jacks that is connected to your lcd and dvd there might be a loosed connection.

Yes,u can hook up a normal DVD player in this tv before right?A Blu-Ray DVD player not much difference,just a better form of a DVD player.

Problem solved : incorrect connection of scat leads Solved by roof top digal aerial Digi top box and on to VCR. and then on to TV.
Scart from VCR to TV
Scart from VCR to DVD
Scart from Digi Top Box to TV.
Everything now functions correctly

1080P resolution is only avalable with BD players, Upconverting DVD players,Some media players and some satellite PPV movies.

TRY THIS. It works on my Philips DVD player: To make some DVD players play disks from different regions. 1. Connect DVD to TV ensuring both are then switched on. 2. Press "OPEN/CLOSE" button on DVD player. 3. Enter "8421" using remote control. 4. While watching TV screen repeatedly press "Select" on remote control until region 9 is reached.  5. Press "OPEN/CLOSE".
