Sir
Yes it can work outside of your home,
Process:
1. Click on the WiFi icon on the lower-right-corner of your screen.
2. A list of available wireless networks will appear on the right. Simply select the wireless network you wish to connect to and click the Connectbutton.
3. If the network that you have selected is secured (password protected) you need to type in the security phrase (Passphrase/Network key) and click the Next button.
4. You will be asked if you would like to enable sharing between PCs and connect to devices within the network. Selecting Yes will turn on sharing and No will leave it off (for more information about file/media sharing, visit
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/support). After selecting your sharing preference, the next screen will show you if you have successfully connected to the wireless network or not.
