Re: Turn Tble will not turn.

Open up the top (where the record player is). Take off the pad, then remove the little c-clip surrounding the metal peg (in the center). Remove the turn table. Check underneath to see if the strap/belt is rather broken or has slipped off. If it broke, you have to go buy a new one. If it slipped off, put it back on. Put one end of the belt around the white plastic peg (the one that turns) and then the rest goes around the first outer ring on the bottom of the turn table (the middle one, between the outer edge and the middle insertion area. Its a real pain in the **** to do because it slips off a lot the first couple times...but you will get it eventually :) Once that is done put the table back on, test it, if it works put the c-clip back on (which is a lot harder than taking it off if I do say so myself lol) Put the rubber cover back on and Voila! You have a working turn table. For those with a broken belt use this as a replacement guide :)

Good luck guys and enjoy some good ol' Vinyl cause they are making a comeback!

What is the voltage on SG-HM22 Music Stereo System turntable motor? 12v or 24V ?

I don't have the specs available however, many turntables utilize the actual wall outlet voltage to operate the turn table itself. if you have one in front of you, you can measure the voltage directly. It should be AC as the frequency of the input voltage is what sets the base rate of the motor that operates the turn table and is then typically altered by the transmission.

How can i slow down the turn table on a crosley cr 66 multiplayer with no control speed and it don't work pulling the arm to the right I tried that not helpful

The problem is in the motor of the turntable, the regulator is not putting out the correct voltage to the motor, and the circuit is often built into the motor making it impossible to service. The only option is motor replacement.

Turntable will not rotate when in "Phono" mode

I recently was given my Father's CR78CD and, assuming your unit is in working order, you turn on the turntable motor by lifting the tonearm off the post and moving it away from the turntable about one and a half to two inches. You should hear a soft click as the switch for the motor activates.

My sony cdp-cx300 when i turn it on i can hear the motor but the cd turn table doesn't spen and after a min. the digital read out says table error

It would have an error because the table wont turn. If you open it up, you will find that the rubber belt that drives the turntable is broken or worn out. It connects the turn table to the motor.

I have a new Yamaha RX-V365 receiver and an older technics turntable, regardless of input setup I cannot get any volume from the turntable, yet all other inputs like CD, Tuner are fine....amp issues in...

Some turn tables do not have a built in amp, especially the older ones, the sound goes from the needle to the output. If the amp your are using does not have a designated phono, turn table, input it may not have the turn table pre-amp built in. Some turn tables have to be grounded to the amp to work properly.

1) Remove the platter - just lift up
2) Underneath the platter, you'll see a small lip section
3) Wrap the belt around this lip
4) Put platter back on turntable
5) Rotate platter until you see the motor shaft through the holes on the platter - a brass round looking piece
6) Pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
7) That's it.
