Question about Magellan RoadMate 2200T GPS Receiver
Used it one day and the next it will not come on at all. I thought maybe the batteries simply ran down. Tried charging it several times, used the soft reset and then tried the hard reset but the unit will not turn on. Only had it since July 07.
Its probably not charging...very common problem with this and many others.
make sure green light is on the car charger and let it plugged in forawhile, then hold the power button (upto ten seconds) until itstarts..if that fails
the following magellan2000,2200t,2500,3000,3100,3140,4000,4040,4050 and the 6000 are known to havefaulty dc connectors...if your magellan gpsis not charging or will not power up, its most likely the dc powerport...
you can get it repaired, here
or buy the port here
if you need further help, just let me know.

I answered this on another thread, I removed the back cover, 6 screws, and pulled the battery connector from the board, waited a minute or two, then reconnected. another poster said also that the connector for the power may have gotten loose, you can tighten that also but be careful. I did not have to do this, only the battery. Do NOT do this with a power cord plugged in, to be safe.
