Microsoft Office 2003 Product key

Hi i have a question and do not mean to sound stupid but i am not computer savey to say the least. But i have microsoft office 2003 on my computer but every time i try to use it it says i need a product key of the back of my certificate of authenticity. I have had this computer for so many years i no longer have the cd or is the certifcate on my computer somewhere? I would like to use it if possible.
