Did you check to see if you have water or anti freeze in the oil? You could have a blown head gasket. This would be why you are adding fluid so quickly. let me know.
Testimonial: "The oil was changed about a week ago but i just checked it and it is a light brown color. While in park, If I Rev the engine up to about 3500 rpms (it does not go higher than about 3900 rpms before it starts cutting out) it started blowing Hot air. the radiator fans didnt kick in while performing that task but later while running the idle engine the fans were cycling on and off."
These cars can also get what are called air pockets in the engine. When you add fluid to the radiator it must be done slowly. You will noice air bublles( large ones surfacing while adding dfluid to the radiaor. This is probably what is casusing it to over heat and not blow hot air. you have an air pocket which is causing it to not flow properly. Subaru engines are extremely prone to this also!! Open the system and add anti freeze and check the fluid level. take your time. It will take some time to get the air pockets out of the engine. let me know if this helps you out further. Sosunds good that you found no water in the oil! TOM

If you have no external leaks, then you must have a leaking head gasket. look for bubbles in the overflow tank
