My 1986 nissan D21 ext cab 4x4 with a 30i is hard starting stumbles and surges

It is hard starting I have to constantly pump gas pedal engine surges and will not idle TBI injected its a V6 will rev high.when I step on gas it does have power and goes. also none of my dash gauges work This happened periodically before but now I cant get it to it go has no power it also pops alot

The slave cylinder allows you to shift gears. If you start the vehicle in gear, you can drive it. But you cannot come to a stop without killing the engine. You would be putting yourself in danger.

Break and battery light stays on all the time

sold all over earth, what country> we cant guess this....
don't break the brakes....!!!
my guess, you meant the
brake lamps are on keys in pocket. and the battery lamp is dash(charge) glows, keys in pocket. right?
and battery cable kills all this illegal states above. sure.

Model years 1986.5 (second half) and later were called Nissan Hardbody Trucks, chassis code D21.

D21 are called HARD BODY trucks. mid year changes.

as you might not ,know , the models are wired diffrent by different exact models and country.
long ago , i had the 86 with the VG30 V6...

so i will roll the dice and answer for

things off stay on, 101
bad wiring, hacked in wiring, radios,alarms and other things.
all can cause this..... its old and is common on old cars.
but if wiring is not hacked, (id see that in 10seconds in person)
no hacks.
gas engine car not diesel.
USA 86 body
brakes
Im looking now at the schematic and this car has a hot at all times
brake lamp switch. (foot pedal switch)
SO only a bad switch can cause this.... period
now the dash charge (battery ) light stuck on.


my online source ,has the alternator system missing.
so can not comment.
the lamp gets its power from the key switch
if the key switch fails , all warning lanps glow not just the
charge.(battery)
so its not that
my best guess is wiring errors, that put power the the cluster
key off. id bet that is it .

wiring errors to the ignition output is side, key switched power is failing.

Have a 1986 nissan 300zx V6 non turbo wont start, hear fuel pump runnung no oil pressure on gauge replaced oil pressure unit still wont start any helpful advise

a oil gauge reading maybe delayed until car starts and builds good oil press.Did you check for spark
was car running good before this happened? Do you have a rpm reading when cranking car?

Nissan d21 not staying started

it sounds like gas starvation or if deisel it could be air in the system, either gas or deisel there could be a possible pump problem, if gas it could be ignition timing is out,

My 1990 nissan hard body d21 short bed truck wont start only if u add starter fluid

fuel pump and fuel sock is bad replace them but first replace the fuel filter, it's located driverside on the inside of frame rail under door.

lol good ? look at your tank staps compared too the bed bolts might be cheaper getting new bolts rather then fuel straps, the pumps from a 2 or 4 wheel might not make a difference *** lond as same engine.

I HAVE A NISSAN d21 2.4L 1987 hardbody pick up as im driving when i let up on the gas pedal it seems to stumble just a little bit then it seems fine after that ???

Sounds like it could be faulty fuel injectors. (unless of course, it's carburated, then it'd be a poorly adjusted float)
