Most watches have one of three types of rear cover. Push On, Screw On and Screw Down. The easiest way to tell is to look closely at the actual back cover. The batteries in some watches are held down with a spring loaded cover you unclip to access the
battery.
A totally smooth back cover suggests a Push On type. On the edge there should be a groove or a notch. Use a thin edged tool to lever off the cover with a firm but gently action. Once you have replaced the battery the cover should push on and click once in place.
If it has regular notches or dimples around the edge of the cover the whole cover will need to be unscrewed, the 'Screw On' type. The whole cover needs to turn like a bolt head. This often needs a specialist tool to do it.
The last type is a rear plate held down with four tiny screws. This is normally most common on 'Sport' watches.
Its really tricky to open no-screw windows of laptop back cover. It just snaps into place and be sure to used pointed and the slimmest flat screw driver. Sometimes, hidden screws are beneath the stickers. Good luck Tedmac
Although the cover is flatly closed and there's no tab/recessed area on the cover, you can still use a watchmaker's knife (looks like a Swiss Army knife but with case opener blade) or even use a Swiss Army knife to open it (pry off, particularly common in less expensive watch). Be careful, don't try to use the point of the knife, use the blade instead. Get under the rim and gently but firmly
turn the blade upward, popping the cover off.
If the cover is flat, no notches on it, that is a screw-back case. You need a case wrench (screw-back watch case opener) to open (unscrew) the cover. If you try to use a very small flat screw drive and tab (turn) the cover in counter-clockwise direction, be careful because it can cut your fingers.
check the back of your laptop you should see a screw at the middle and something like circle with cd rom inside, open that particular screw. you will see the cdrom
1st pray to god... open all the screw..on the back side ... open all cover on the back side open the keyboard cover its on the upper side of the keyboard open the keyboard screw release all the wire from the main board open the upper case open the screw again... open the mainbord ... ....
These covers sometimes have metal retainers that hold the cover along with the screw. Take a small flathead screwdriver and work it up, it will pop off.
Hi Wolfy43
I have the Australian version (ixus750) of your camera.
DON'T try to force it open!!!
make sure you have the extra screw out from the button end, behind the grey cover 1 screw is visible from the outside there is another under the flexible cap. Once the end is off there is another screw with a bigger flatter head than the rest near where the flexible cover closes.
With all these screws plus ALL other visible screws out lightly twist the case.
The left end (from the back) should then come away a that end then gentle lift the back case off pulling from the left end.
there are 3 small clips that catch on the front 1/2 of the case.
remove the back cover, take a torque 6 screw driver, its aka a nokia screw driver T6 remove the 4 screws on the back plate then u have access to the motherboard... clean the charging pin in and out using a deep brush and alcohol, only power the phone once its dried for about 4 hours good luck
