How do I upgrade iOS 7.0 to my I pad

Unfortunately, Netflix only makes an iPad app for iOS 6 and later. You will have to get a newer iPad if you really, really want to watch Netflix on it, because your iPad cannot be upgraded to iOS 6.

There are two ways to upgrade the iOS version of your iPad
- via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer
- or directly from within the device,
but only since iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)

- depends on the model of your iPad:
For the iPad first generation (A1219) to update is only possible with connecting the device to iTunes on a computer.
- but this model supports only iOS 5 - NO iOS 6/7/8

First Generation iPads can use iOS 5

Since iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update). The ipad 1 will not update to ios 7 because it will make it run too slow, and u don't want it at the speed it will run, apple decided to not let the ipad 1 work on ios 7 because of the speed and it would also make it crash heaps.

If your question is should you upgrade just depends on if iOS 7 will benefit you or not. With any upgrade just have to be aware of performance of older generation iPads.
