If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

The light blinking is an error code--usually it will blink a certain number of times, pause, then blink another sequence(ex. 4 times, then 3 times)in a binary error code. There is a chart in the service manual to decipher the code(s) and locate the issue. It could be anything from a heater circuit failure to the drain pump being jammed. Try to see how many times the light blinks, and which ones blink--there could be, on the first part of the sequence, normal light, then, 2 or 3 lights blink-- I need to know which ones are lit. When the status light is blinking push the device and menu buttons on the tv at the same time and hold for 5 seconds or more. The red light will then blink a code. RETRIEVING FLASH CODES USING THE D4 LIGHT
If fault codes are present, the D4 light will "blink" when the ignition is turned to the RUN position and will remain on at all times when the engine is running.
To retrieve the flash codes, turn the ignition switch off.
Install a jumper wire between the service check connector terminals.
The service check connector is a gray, 2-pin connector located on the PCM/TCM cover under the passenger side of the instrument panel. (See picture below)

CAUTION: DO NOT use the 3-pin located next to the service check connector.

Installing the jumper will place the PCM/TCM in diagnostic test mode.
Turn the ignition to the RUN position. Codes will be output by blinking the D4 light.
Note the number of blinks from the D4 light. A short blink indicates a single digit flash code. A long blink equals 10 short blinks. For instance one short blink indicates code 1. One long blink and four short blinks indicates code 14. If there is more than one fault code, they will be output one at a time from the lowest numbered code to the highest numbered code. It is recommended that you read the code or codes several times to make sure that you are reading it correctly.

It means that there is a problem with your air bag. It should be blinking a code. Count the blinks. In otherwords it should blink twice, pause and then blink 7 more times indicating a code 27 which would be a burned out bulb on PAD. The 'S' light is also your diagnostic indicator....so, the answer lies in the 'sequence' which the S light blinks.

Codes:

Long blinks: 1st digit
short blinks: 2nd digit

e.g.1 - if there are 6 short blinks (followed by long pause) then repeats 6 blinks again, the code = 6.

e.g.2 - if there is 1 long blink, then 4 short blinks (followed by long pause) then repeats again, the code = 14.

The ECU may show more more than one code.
