Hello, is there a firmware available for my digital camera?

Go to the Sony site and check what firmware updates are available for your camera. If there are some then you may need to download the firmware to your card via your computer then put the card in the camera and let the camera update from the card

The latest firmware is v83. (This firmware is only available from Olympus - you'll have to send the camera to Olympus for servicing to get the new firmware. It probably won't be worth the effort however.)

Sorry, there is no firmware upgrade available, nor is there a way to upgrade the camera even if one were available.

Hello Sonja, Try a firmware update for the CX7430 available at Kodak website listed under SUPPORT, be sure to get the firmware download for your model camera ONLY !!!!! If this does not help, some of these batteries that come from China are very low quality and have had them discharge sitting on the shelf !!!! Try Duracell or Other name brand battery, watch out for some sold on E-Bay as many are very low quality.

If your camera has a serial number starting with 4Bxx og 4Cxx, you may need to update the firmware.

Hello Joan, There are no diagnostic utilities available to the consumer for the DX6490. It sounds like the drive unit for the lens has worn over time. Not a cheap repair, Sorry.

You could try updating the firmware so that your camera recognises your new card. This camera came out before larger size memory cards were available so it's probable that the original software ( firmware) in your camera does not recognise it.
Firm ware updates for this camera were available for this camera a while ago on the fuji website. Your manual should tell you how to update the firmware. If it is still available online it should also tell you how to update

If you do want to update it with some other piece of firmware, simply put it onto an SD card in a folder named "firmware" and plug the card into the camera.
