My Casio WV-58A keeps losing time and date.I reverts to date 1-1-2005 . This is my third wave-cepter. Is there any to fix this malfunction. This watch is just over two years old.

Try the battery first. Make sure to do the all reset inside of the watch after changing the battery. If it is not the battery send it to Casio. They may change out the complete module.

How many days from 01/11/1944 to 01/07/2016

Date difference from Jan 11, 1944 to Jan 7, 2016 The total number of days between Tuesday, January 11th, 1944 and Thursday, January 7th, 2016 is 26,294 days.
This is equal to 71 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
This does not include the end date, so it's accurate if you're measuring your age in days, or the total days between the start and end date. But if you want the duration of an event that includes both the starting date and the ending date, then it would actually be 26,295 days.
If you're counting workdays or weekends, there are 18,782 weekdays and 7,512 weekend days.
If you include the end date of Jan 7, 2016 which is a Thursday, then there would be 18,783 weekdays and 7,512 weekend days including both the starting Tuesday and the ending Thursday.
26,294 days is equal to 3,756 weeks and 2 days.
The total time span from 1944-01-11 to 2016-01-07 is 631,056 hours.
This is equivalent to 37,863,360 minutes.
You can also convert 26,294 days to 2,271,801,600 seconds.

My Casio wave captor watch keeps reverting to Jan 1st years ago. I have taken it back to the Casio dealer that sold it to me on several occasions but all they ever do is manually reset it and claim that...

i think you have a dud, i would conatct casio directly.
this model is radio controlled so will always set it self to the correct local time , i can only think that the watch is switching off an on causing it to reset the date then when it picks up the signal it resets the time.

I replaced the battery. The watch started time from Jan. 1

You have to set the year, the month and the date. Then you set the time zone. After that you can set the local time. You may also have to set the Daylight Savings Time.
The watch has a built in calendar that may run from let's say January first 2000 to the year 2070 (just a guess). If you set the calendar correctly you do not have to adjust the date when a month has 30 days, or when it is a leap year.

Hello. I own a 40 to 50 year old "Timex Electronic" watch. There is a number date at the 3 o'clock position. I see no other identifying info on the outside. I don't have a battery for it. How

What is the exact model of the watch. I have several Timex Electronic watches that might fit your description. If you pop the caseback do you see the old battery inside? Most batteries would have a reference like: CR2016.

I have an eco drive and recently in trying to set the clock back to regular time, I must have done something wrong. The time is correct but the date, and day are one day forward. How do I correct this?

the crown of the watch has two clicks, pull it gently once and you can set the date and day, pull it gently again a second time and you can set the time. The proper way to set the time and date is to set first the day,date late at the actual date, then move the hands around the clock until the date change at 12 oclock this is evening, then moving the hands around until you reach the actual time. By doing so you will set the day, date and time in syn to 24 hrs change.

example: you want to change it to sat 12th 11am
set the day and date to fri 11th
then move the hands around clockwise until the day and date change at 12 oclock continue moving the hands until you reach 11am

Set time on Touch Screen Thermo Clock

Hi there,

Just in case you didn't manage to set the time / date on your tocuh screen thermo clock, I'll try to help you from my experience (no available manual at the moment!).

1. To set the time, touch the clock icon on the upper left corner;
2. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the hour area;
3. Touch the hour area until you get what you want (if you prefer the 24 hour display style, touch repeatedly until you get the right hour without the AM / PM indicator next to it);
4. Touch the clock icon again to start the clock;
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to set up the minutes (the hour area will be replaced by the minutes area);
6. To set the date, tocuh the calendar icon on the left hand side;
7. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the year area;
8. Touch the year area until you get what you want;
9. Touch the month area until you get what you want;
10. Touch the day area until you get what you want;
11. The screen will reverse to the time display after 5 seconds if no touch.
12. The TEMP (temperature) area, if touched, is toggling between C and Fahrenheit degrees.

P.S. I don't know if it is possible to set an earlier time / date, except touching. I mean, if 2009 is on the screen and you want 2007, you'll keep touching up to 2030 and then from 1901 up to 2007.

Hope it helped.

Believe chime springs have been over wound

The idea of "overwinding" is probably the most common myth in clockmaking. A clock cannot be wound too tight, unless it is wound so hard that the mainspring breaks, in which case the spring becomes completely unwound and will not wind up again. What has actually happened is that the clock is fully wound, but does not unwind because it is not running for some other reason. Letting down the mainspring would have no benefit.
You're correct that the clock was made in 1974. This is far beyond the expected lifespan of the clock. It is possible that lubrication by a qualified clock repairer could get the clock running again, but considering its age, it may be more likely that the movement is worn out, dirty or corroded and needs replacement.
The three keys should be wound all the way, as far as they will go, once a week. This clock should be self-starting when wound, so the fact that it has been sitting wound without running for years indicates a previous problem that prevented the clock from starting and running the mainspring down on its own.

PRG-70YT-1V self-reset

no, it changed automatically via the atomic satellite that changes all atomic clocks around the world. It so happens you bought a watch that was made in a different, much different time zone. You have been taken.
