I would try this, go to the machine where the mini is read, copy the files to another USB mini then see if that mini can be read by the Win7 machine.

There are programs specifically designed to do that. I can't give you specifics but just do a quick google and you should find it. Also, if those don't work, you should bring it to a data recovery service center which they will do it for you. It really depends on the severity of corruption

First you might want to check if there are any problems with your Memorex drive. You can do this using the free trial version of http://www.hdtune.com/

If it checks out ok then you can try to recover your data with Recuva it's free http://www.piriform.com/recuva

To see all the contents of the drive, go to Control Panel, switch to classic view and open Folder Options, then go to View and in the list, choose "Show hidden files and folders"

Things to ponder before deleting

Rather then deleting them right away, try moving the "day the files were uploaded" to another drive. Then try accessing the files on your memorex. Do the files and folders open properly? There not corrupt? Has the memorex hdd drive recreated the folder you just moved? etc...

Once your satisfied that yes there are two copies then you could safely remove one.

get another driver download software program, google it as "drivers downloads" then try some of them for driver updates

get a dvd/cd harddrive burner for multiple drives connect it there it should show up as an extra drive
