Someone gave me a stovetop espresso maker but there were no directions. How do I use it?

If this is a Bialetti, twist off the bottom part of the pot. You will find a sieve that you can take out. Inside you should see a marker on one of the sides. Pour fresh cold water up to this line. Put espresso in the sieve and pack it a little. Put everything back and put the pot on the stove. The water will heat up and be pressed through the coffee and up on the upper part of the pot. After a while all the water is through and you may serve a nice cup of espresso. Enjoy!
