Question about Canon Digital Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera with EF-S 17-85mm IS Lens
I left my cd which I have never used in the past in the uk but I need to download photos on mates computer (Windows) in Australia. This the third computer that I have tried and each one states that I need to install the software. is there a free download that is available or any other solution because I need the photos for an overdue project?
The best solution is to buy a CompactFlash card reader that plugs into the PCs USB port. They are very inexpensive and trouble free. Just put your C/F card into it and download your files to a CD or photo editing program. I have several. I have 3 EOS digital SLRs and have never taken the Canon CDs out of their sleves.

Yes. everytime you connect your camera to a new computer, you will need to install a driver software to ensure proper functioning of the device.
This driver is freely downloadable from the Internet.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
