Inside the chuck there is a 5mm counter bolt with a left hand thread. It can be seen by unscrewing the jaws of the cartridge only
1. You can hit the jaws of the chuck with a hammer, as if hammering them inward, after using the WD40 spray
2. You can slightly clamp the cartridge and turn on the speed to reverse.
3. If this bolt is tightened, then there is only one way out: cut the chuck with a grinder.
4. If this bolt is missing, then try to unscrew the cartridge counterclockwise with a plumbing wrench.
Hold the chuck if need be with a channel lock plyers and reverse the drill. Should spin it open.

Hi,
the Chuck should be 2 Part.
Use 2 pair of stillsons Or pipe wrenches, Tight On the 2 Chuck Parts, Crack in opposite Directions.
Alternative, Use Wrench On Chuck Jaw, Short sharp Blow With Hammer.

Try using the low torque setting on the drill when reversing and something to assist you getting a better grip to hold the chuck from spinning when reversing. This may help.
Good Luck
SOURCE: changing a drill chuck
If this is a cordless drill open chuck jaws and remove the retaining screw (LH trheads), switch the clutch to drill only and shift gear selector to low. Insert a bent handle allen wrench about the same size as chuck (to keep from flexing) put chuck on workbench or block of wood and have the wrench about 30 degrees and strike the key counterclockwise to remove. You might have to hit a couple times but usually they will loosen up quickly. To install just reverse above. Let me know if I can help further.

SOURCE: locked drill chuck
i have the same tool and have had the same problem
i use 2 large prs of channel locks(water pump pliers) to break the bond
SOURCE: problem with the chuck
Had the same problem on mine. Remove the chuck, then remove the snap ring on the back of the chuck( carefull, the housing will fall out once the ring is removed), on the side of the chuck you'll find a cam and small odd shaped spring held in by two cylender pins, on mine the spring had a gap in it and I just spread the gap to about twice the size in was and put everything back together and it has worked fine ever sence. Hope it works for you.
