Until recently I could stream music and radio using my bluetooth and iphone 4. Now I can only use them for phone calls. this just happened with the plantronics today and with the motorola a few days ago.

I can't speak for plantronics or iOS but in order to hear media you must be using a A2DP compatible Motorola Stereo Bluetooth headset and have this profile connected to your device. Unpair and repair to ensure hansfree and media are both connected.

Motorola hk250. iPhone 4.
It used to work. I could make and receive phone calls, as well as stream audio. I like to listen to talk radio or lectures on line.

I thought that maybe I changed a phone or Bluetooth setting. I tried to start from scratch by un pairing the Bluetooth device and telling the phone to "forget this device". I did this for both Motorola and plant tonics devices. However I was only able to pair up the Motorola device again. The Plantronics won't pair again. At all
In addition., I was able to get the streaming going again with the Motorola UNLESS MY PHONE IS PLUGGED IN. When the phone is plugged in the audio doesn't stream but I do get video stream.
odd the HK250 doesnt support A2DP so it is a happy accident you were able to steam audio to it. must be something on your iPhone allowing it.
Now that's weird.
I agree. sometimes I have seen audio(music/videos) bleed over and play via a Hands Free Profile(HFP) but that isn't intended. HFP headsets normally work only for calls.

Hi Claybubby
A bit hard to diagnose from here... a lot of variables.
Is your iOS Up to date 8.1.3
Settings / General / About...
Next... quit all your Apps in Memory on your iPhone 4.
Then shut down...
D/Clik round button drag all small windows up to quit
Hold Round & Top Button down together for about 10 seconds
it will shut down
Press top 5 sec to restart.
Check bluetooth problem.
If still there ask someone in the genius bar at Apple store.
they have diagnostic utilities to assist..
Good Luck
