How do we take the wide screen off & view in normal proportion. At the moment image is stretched.

Hope this instruction well do solve like I met some problem like this. Try to reset the monitors setting manually in OSD (on screen display) mode. Look for frequency settings start at lower and have test it all. Respectively try to configure the video card frequency settings at Operating System GUID (Graphics user interface display) video card setting properties. Start from lower frequency and notice the each changes. When perfectly proportionate select Apply settings.
