SOURCE: BISSELL HELP

Usually when you can't put out soap, there is a problem with the vale at the bottom of the dispenser, or the seal is not on it and gone or sitting in the hole, needs to be on the dispenser. Same is true for the wter tank valve and seal.

Cleaning heater core

The heater is located in the handle. It can become clogged with soap or mineral deposits. It can be removed and cleaned by removing the screws holding the front and back of the handle together. Separate the handle parts to gain access to the heater. It can be removed by taking the clamps off the water inlet and outlet lines. Remove the electric wires from the heater. Remove the screws holding the top on the water heater (be careful not to lose little gaskets with each *****) clean inside of heater and reinstall all wires, hoses, screws exactly as they were before.

Vacuum is clogged

Without specifics of Model, I can't tell you how. There are no clog ports in Dirt Devil vacuums. Usually a hose has to be removed to unclog.

Have a bissel proheat plus. There is no water flow. It has been used once, but was not flushed with water. Tried to fix it myself. Don't know if it is put together correcly. Or sommthing may be plugged up.

if the belts are new and it still doesn't spray then its probably a clogged heater core, it isn't easy to unclog so i would take it to a bissell repair center.

Bissell 7920 Not Spraying Anymore

Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to it are not clogged. If water doesn't squirt, check for the seal at the bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole, this is for the soap bottle, there is a seal on the bottom of it as well. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and water to see if that unclogs the lines. Is the top cover and the base tight together in the back, sometimes the top breaks loose and it will raise up and it can't spray, just refasten it down.

How do I unclog a bissell vaccum? I'm not just talking about unclogging the hose, I need to unclog the complete vacuum cleaner. HELP!!!

Well firstly, whats the model number and do you have the user manual to hand?

If the main hose has been unblocked, then it could be the main dirt channel which is blocked just after the moving roller brush panel. A long pipe cleaner or wire brush can remove this blockage easily rather than taking everything apart.

ok - this works even though it probably isn't the "best" solution. Unclog the input and output nozzle ares with a pin. The input area (behind the solution) was my clog problem - I put 2 or 3 drops of CLR into the hole, waited 5 minutes, then primed the trigger. This unclogged it! Fill the tank with a 1:1 ratio of white vinegar and warm water. Insert tank into unit and spray out the contents into the sink. This will eliminate any leftover CLR residue and clean the nozzle thoroughly. For the intake (suction part of the tank) I just rinsed through the lines with the vinegar mix and it seemed to unclog the rest. These things are a pain to take apart and if you break any pieces you'll be stuck - replacement parts have been discontinued for older models.

Power head handle wiring

That wire goes just above where the trigger is, take the trigger out and there is a slot that the end goes into.
