2001 dodge 1500 3.9 liter orifice tube

It is crimped into the high pressure AC compressor hose that is the small ridgid aluminum line. You must buy a new line to get the orifice. Around $30 for the part.

Where is the orfice tube located

In the high pressure line on the way to the evap core. Look for a connector with factory crimps in the tube. High pressure is the smaller diameter tube.

Where is the location of the ac orifice tube on 06 chevy silverado

The orifice tube is located in the line of the high pressure side of the system it maybe at the condenser or in the high pressure line. You should be able to feel a crimp in the line and the is the stop for the orifice. I believe the o6 is in the line and as I said there is a crimp in the line where the orifice is located.

I have a leaky power steering hose, the leak starts by the second crimp. What kind of hose and fittings do I need to replace it.

Your best bet is to get the hose assembly from the Auto parts store. Those are high pressure hoses made of special material that are resistant to the corrosive nature of Hydraulic fluid and the pressure that builds in those lines. The connections where the hoses connect to metal connectors are compression fittings and difficult to replace under the best of circumstances. When you identify the parts you need Auto Zone and Advance Auto can show you the parts diagram so you can make sure you get the correct line.

2006 maxima not blowing cold air. What is the first thing I should check before taking it in for a $99 diagnostic. Thanks

Check fuses, also if you can or have some one help you check for freon pressure, that will also disable the a/c compr. Go to a small indepened repair shop they will do this check for much less.

Trying to find my power steering leak< i need a hose diagram

There are only two that go from pump to the rack and pinion. The high pressure hose, which has partial metal line with high pressure hose crimped to it and the return line which is mostly just rubber hose with some regular clamps to hold it to the metal part coming out of the rack and pinion.

What is the 134-a-Freon Compacity for a 1998 chevy Silverado & also the pressure for the low side & high side

The R134-a refrigerant should be 1.80lbs. and the presures are dictated by the system it's self which they should be around the same pressure. If the low side is much greater than the high side and fluctuats greatly as it is running you should replace the orafice tube which is located in one of the metal lines near a connection. You can locate the orafice tube buy looking for three little dimple crimps about 3 inches from one of the connections in the metal line.

Where is the orfice located on the liquid line feeding the evaporator of the AC?

Find a crimp that looks like a little notch in the line usually before the lowside port and after the high side port. Has a nut holding the lines togethor. You can use a Cresent Wrench to loosen it, and slowly pull them the lines apart. They are Flexible enough to manuver around the lines around to get to the orfice tube. You can use needle nose pliers to pull it out. and replace and Reverse instalation
