Re: how do i connect my laptop

Assuming that the laptop is hooked up to the projection TV using the correct cables or connectors and still no video display on the TV, perhaps you need to lower down the laptops screen resolution first using your laptop's screen display before pressing the Fn + F? key.

To lower the screen resolution, right click on any clear area of your desktop, select Properties. click on the Settings tab, move cursor of Screen resolution to farthest left, Apply, Color Quality to lowest, Apply. Additionally, click on the Advanced button, Monitor tab, select lowest Screen refresh rate.

Hope that this be of some help. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

My problem is: samsung hl-p5063w. I have a new lamp and it works fine. The fans work all right. The color wheel works well. But no picture, only the screen is black. Low light without image. The timer...

I'm not a tech person, but from what I have learned it sounds like your digital board (input) connections. Try diffrent connections to see if you get a picture.

If you are using a coax cable for your input, try the rca type input. If you still get no picture after trying diffrent inouts, it may just be the digital input board. Again Im not a TV specialist, just sort of informed from the net.

okay the reason that the its turning off could be the fan isnt spining fast enoug hold your hand at the back of the tv to feel where the exhaust air if isnt good enough to help cool off the bulb then the fan may need to be replaced also the balast could be going bad and last check the power supply that feeds the balast make sure its a constant dc voltage

The television has no picture and no sound and everything is connected. What could it be?

Good Day..

Let's see...

do you have your TV connected to a power supply?
How long have you had you TV?
Have you ever change the lamp?
does it make any strange sounds?

you give me little information!

lets see..

if it's just doesn't start is the LAMP!

if it make a click sound on the back or like strange noises then is the color wheel!

and about the sound. may be the analog board that is the one that controls the sound or maybe try to clean your TV whit compress air

No picture after replacing color wheel

every time I see this itbis a cable or plug that was left out or one that got pulled on and pulled the connector up out of the plug a little, you need, and not by sight by your hands to go over every plug and connector till you find one.
