If you have a gen one (finger ice maker) it means the th3 sensor is open. You will want a trusted technician to tackle this issue.

Where is the ice maker fan for LG French Door Refrigerator?

Hello,

The ice maker fan is located in the freezer and is part of the Grille Assembly ( LG part Name) Which is the removable back panel in the freezer. If you have an error code on the display such as ER/IF the fan is not rotating due to failure or ice accumulation in the fan blade. If you have no error code and the ice maker is not producing ice 2 things to check are...1. On the bottom of the ice maker there is a Test Button. Press and hold the button and the ice maker should rotate, Dump ice cubes and refill with water. If the ice maker does not cycle replace the ice maker. 2. Check freezer temperature. Freezer Temperature must be below 15 degrees to make ice. Ideally freezer temp should be 0 Degrees. If you have warm temps in the freezer there may be a sealed system issue preventing proper cooling.

Hope this helps.

Ice maker not making ice. When pressing the test button will start to make some and then beep about 3 times, then does not produce anymore ice.

Do not use test button. It test the functions of the board only. You have another issue. Need to know the number of beeps. Usually beeps a certain number of times, then hesitates, then beeps again.

The scotsmand machine make ice, but quantity of the ice seems limited. The machine was descaled a month ago, no signs it needs serviced again. Could the cube sensor be faulty?

Take a can of compressed air and blow out the dust in the coil. If the coil can't get rid of the heat, it reflects in the amount of ice it produces.

Scotsman DCE33A-1WB Residential Ice Machine Problem

Making good ice. Could be cube size control. Could be a weak compressor. Also these machines are household and meant to run in air conditioned space.

Small production of ice? What should be the normal production of ice?

The way I understand how Hoshizaki machines work, the model number is usually what the unit will produce, in pounds of ice. Their manual states: "Approximate production/ 24 hours @ 70 degrees air/ 50 degrees water (incoming)" So, yours should be producing 450 pounds a day, approimately. Since I can not pin point your exact model, I found one that is close. It states: "Ice Production per cycle: 6.6 pounds, 360 pcs." Again, it is not you exact machine. Their web site does not show this model either. So this is the best info I can get for you. Hope this helps.
