How to unfreeze mp3 player
Hi, I have a failry new mp3/mp4 player, I've had it working fine for months, even had it playing three days ago. I went to turn it on yesterday and instead of coming up with the 'hello' screen, it went straight to a blank screen with a egg timer on it, then it doesn't move from this screen. Can you please give me suggestions as to how to fix it? There's no reset button, only a on/off switch not button. I've tried pressing either the menu of play button for a while but that doesn't change anything.

- That is not my posting.I wrote that my new MP3/MP4 player worked beautifully for quite a while and then one day just would not turn on again.
Is there a reset function for mp3/mp4 players as we discovered there was with the ipods??

We have a toshiba gigabeat f20. today it worked fine, listened to it for hoursbefore turning it off. turned it on within a hour to play it and got a blank screen. nothing in the environment could have caused this. battery had been replaced a week before. so, took the case off to opened it and take a look. realized that one of the plug ins for the screen had come loose or slightly lifted inside. it did not totally unplug, just not pressed down tight. pushed it back in. put the case back on. hit the power button and it's back on, nothing that had been previously loaded was lost.

i was just trying to re-play a song , but then i wanted to choose a different one so i picked this one song and it wouldn't play . so then it just sat there not playing . i tried pressing the play button and it wouldn't play . so then i tried turning the mp3 player off . it still wouldn't work . so then i got the usb cable cord and plugging it in , and then i clicked the play button again and the off button and then it froze . i don't know what to do please help .

I have the exact same problem. It worked fine for a few days and now when you turn it on, all that happens is that it comes up with a blue screen with an egg timer on it. Please, please someone help us fix this!!!

On - Off Switch Not Working .....Unit Goes On When Plugged Into USB Port....Can Disconnect And Then Listen To Music- I Suspect The Slide Switch Is Defective.

i just got it yesterday for xmas and it woirked fine for like 5 hours and then i went to turn it on last night and all that pops up is a black screen with an egg timer..... theres no reset botten and the on off switch turns it off but doesn't un frees it so what do u do to un freez it ??
