Hi Robert:
Sounds like you've some trouble shooting to do. Try starting by installing new spark plugs in all cylinders. Find a project and run the machine for an hour or so. Let it cool off, then pull the spark plugs. Keep track of which one is from each cylinder. There are some excellent charts available that show what is going on in an engine from the appearance of the plug. OILY & Fouled is usually bad rings, SOOTY black can be too rich a mixture, Too lean can make the tip look almost melted. Enjoy the chase!
Testimonial: "Thanks for the help, but the plug does not foul looks like new just does not fire anymore and I have switched plugs from cyl. To cyl and the opposite side will not fire and the side that burned up plug fires until it burns up that plug"
Hi Robert:
What a challenging problem. How old is the machine? How long has this been happening? Was anything done to the machine just prior to this problem starting? By "burning up the plug" do you mean that the tip of the plug has actually melted or eroded? I'd start to get suspicious that there's too much voltage coming from the coil to this plug. Are there separate coils? If so, try switching them and see if the problem follows the coil.
