When you get the unit you line coming from the wall plate the cable needs to run threw a converter like dish is may provider, cox communication have modem, than come cable box converter has cat 6, over sized phone line connector. come from back of disk box to my internet modem box may modem box is also where my wifi come from, you would log in. after logging in your password and account names is stored and when every you come close to the wifi signal your device will log in to the site.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CABLE COMPANY, BUT YOU HAVE LIVE INTERNET CONNECTION YOU NEED WIFI CARD INSTALLED IN YOU COMPUTER UNLESS YOUR MOTHERBOARD ALREADY HAS THAT BUILT IN TO THE MOTHERBOARD.

1504g lan extender user name and passworld

D_Link, you left off the NAME of it, (not good that !)
we have no idea at all what your PW credentials are.
how could we?

first off , you have router with wifi already, right

question1: how owns this device, you or the ISP?
question2, if ISP owned they told you your credentials.
if you own it and bought it then you know your credentials if you forgot them then start over.
setting up the extender is covered in the manual for it.
did loose that too?
It must be joined tot he other wifi.
some extender also can be wired to the main router. with an ethernet cable, that works best of all. (for better coverage)

The wifi connects to my hi sense TV however it drops out every couple of days and I have to enter the password again it only last for about 3 days drops out grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

test online speed for wifi..tv needs 40 MB. download speed, also straight line to the tv.check location if it is up or downstairs, in another room. Repositioning tv may help. height of wifi router can affect it. It sounds like you wifi signal is barely in range of the tv, when it drops low and then back, you will have to reenter the security password. can you move the tv closer to the wifi router? If not there are 2 solutions, buy an ac wall plug router which sends your wifi through the whole residence, or a dlink wifi extender to increase your coverage.

How can I connect to my new WiFi using my dlink dap 1320 thru my Samsung tablet, how can I reset the old one

You need to get the Wireless Range Extender to communicate with your existing router. Instructions are attached. If you have already done this, you should be able to search for WiFi connections and connect to the SSID with your password. It should be the network that has the most strength. In Canada, you can contact Dlink at (800) 361-5265. In the US, (877) 453-5465.

No Internet connexion between livebox 2zte and dap 1320 .

First connect to the Livebox (without the range extender) to see if you can access the internet. If you can get on the net there open your browser and type http://dlinkap.local in the address line, and set-up the d-link. the most common problem is the password on the router (the livebox).

For instructions for the D-Link go here;

Can a dlink dwl g710 range extender work like an acess point

hi, i think there is no chance to make an AP from range extender because it is ONLY RANGE EXTENDER so you need another device to work as AP.

Verification and signal problems

Hi Sir F,

You don't need to do a re-install of the DLink WiFi adaptor since I believe it is running as it should (as you posted). All that is needed is to configure it to exclusively select only your NetGear WiFi Router. This could be done in the DLInk Wizard (Start/All Programs/DLink.../) set the DLInk to connect only to the SSID of your NetGear. Though it may pick up your neighbors WiFi, the DLink will only acknowledge the presence of the other WiFi but connect only and always to the NetGear.

A couple of other things that may help improve your WiFi connection. Use static IP add in your PC to match that of the NetGear, disable wireless security (WEP or WPA) but rather enable MAC filter and input that of your PC's WiFi Networking Card.

Should you need a more detailed instructions, pls post back the model of your router and the make/model of your PC as well as your OS.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
