I'm afraid the electronics thinks the door id locked, on the other hand in most safes you can access the logic in the door when the door is open. Not knowing what brand and model you own, it is impossible for anyone to give a better advice.

4-Press the # key.
5-The LCD display will turn Blue and show IN.
6-The LCD display will briefly show your new code.
7-Your new user code is now set to open the safe
NOTE: It is highly recommended to leave the

Thermaglide electric garage door.Had a problem with door stopping whilst going up but would carry on moving with assistance eg lifting it whilst moving.

Check the big spring at the top. sounds like it could be broken or has come un wound. if this spring is working you should be able to push the door up without the opener. Unlock the opener and see if you can push it up. If you can then your opener could be the problem.

Do you have a service center in Mindanao, Philippines

Our tech at Quality gun safes wall safes and floor safes advise you to check the back of the safe door for a set screw. Remove this screw to lock the door. The screw prevents lockouts during shipping and in store displays.

To unlock the bolt no code is needed... just by pushing the lock button it unlocks what do i have to do to make it function proporly

You need to reset the lock, so it will be set to the correct handing (left or right hand door).

Open the door and extend the lock bolt. Remove the battery. Press the reset button three times and wait 20 seconds. Push and hold the lock button, while inserting the batteries. Hold the lock button until the bolt starts to move. Allow the lock to complete it's learning cycle.

Program a new code and test.

My Gun Safe will not open. It is a Redhead gun safe (2007?) with an electronic lock and central "star" handle. It worked fine until last week; I still hear a light "click" after I...

there are a few things that might have happened,, one thing is that the battery is almost dead and does not have enough power to fully retract the locking bolt, or the bolt motor itself has failed and is not pulling the bolt back far enough to let the handle move, or the bolt is dragging, or a broken drive gear. all these are very common problems and in the lockshop that I worked at we would get 2 of these calls a week.
there is one thing that you can try before you call a locksmith to come out and try and get it open. IF it is not bolted to the floor : try and gently lay the safe down on its side ( hinge side twords the floor -- door facing you ), now with the help of a helper,, have them hold the top or bottom of the safe about 5 inches off the floor and you type in your combo, just as the combo is finished and you know that the ' clicking ' sound is about to click, have them drop the safe to the floor,, the timing has to be perfect and this may in fact let the bolt fall back into the combo pack enough to open the door,, turn the handle quickly and open the door. if this works ( 1 in about 100 ) then set the safe upright again and with the door open lubricate all moving parts / replace the battery and test the lock 15 times ( do not close the door until you have tested the system many times ).
if this does not work then call your local locksmith ( safe tech ) and have them come out to service the lock. ( they most likely will need to drill a small hole under the dial and move the bolt out of the way and replace whatever has broken ).

I can't open the door, I have used the key and tried the combination. I hear the lock disengage but the door won't open. It appears to be stuck. How do I get it open?

You may have the same problem as me.
The bolts in the opening side may have sheared off of the ratchet arm that pulls them into the door. It's a casting using inferior quality metal.
I was lucky. The problem was found when the door was open.
The only way to open the door will be to turn the safe (with everything unlocked) so that the hinged side is along the floor and try tapping the top so the bolts drop into the door (the bolts are joined together).
If the safe has been secured and cant be moved get a grinder and chop the hinges off. With the hinge side bolts withdrawn the door can be opened. Sentry doesn't do this spare, so a new safe is required.

I have a sentry SO500. I know the combination but

A locksmith would try to replace the batteries. Sometimes you will get the green light but the batteries still will not have enough power to retract the latch.
