Question about Audiovox PPC 6700

No sound is coming out my PPC 6700

This is something weird, nothing sounds, not the menu when you tap on it, no even any touch on the screen (which function is enabled) Mp3 don't sound, alert and alarms either. Volume is the loudest, it isn't muted, I can't hear people talking when they call (that is if I get to "see" the call, 'cause I can't hear the phone when it rings). BUT that little sound that the phone makes when you do a soft reset (something like "tururup!" ) I can hear it...!

I have had this problem before, but it seems to occur after several days of usage on my PPC. I no longer get audible alerts for text messages, phone calls, or alarms, even if the phone volume is still on.

This is always solved by a soft reset for me.

I had this happen too. The problem was with the headphone jack in my case. I reinserted the headphones a few times and the sounds started working again.

I would try a system reset there might be something wrong with the PPC itself but you won't know until you try these other two if you are still experiencing difficulties synch your phone to the comp call in and have it reset to factory default settings and if it still isn't work take it in to the store and have a diagnostic test run on the phone itself sorry that is happening to you and I hope this helps :)

No more sound from speaker

I had a similar issue on mine. The easy fix was to insert a headset jack and pull it out quickly. I think something got stuck that turns off the speaker after I put the headset in the jack once. If this is the problem, I think you should also see a headset icon when making calls, even though no headset is attached.
