Try a reset to this TV first. A hard reset.
There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

You may have it set to scart video audio hdmi , instead of the scart try using the analogue video also , yellow connector on tv if it has it , also AV and scart aren't always the same on tvs search through the source option on the tv

I have connected my jvc combi player to my tv via a scart cable. I then select the source button on my tv remote control and select scart. I can do and auto scan and it says completed, but no signal.

When using a scart cable, the TV should switch over to the Scart port that as last came active. Even when you switch on and choose the menu on the device, the TV should notice and switch over.
Just check if you are using a normal scary cable. Sometimes not really compatible cables with in / out switches, can spoil the fun, because not all wires are connected correct.

I have a tv digisender (Nikkai) which works fine with an analogue tv on a scart lead, but not via a scart lead with a Kenmark dtv. (Error message is no signal received) Help!

you have to select scart on the kenmark tv from the source menu as your digi receiver probably does not have an av switching voltage

What is the TV channel set to to play a dvds151 dvd player?

almost all Dvd players are connected to a television by either a scart or a HDMI lead.

When you plug the scart into the back of your television (make sure its in properly) then turn the power on. on your dvd player.

This should automatically come on as scart leads send a voltage up the scart telling the tv to change to that source/av.

If it is connected via a HDMI cable then if you look at the back of your telly it will tell you what HDMI input number it is. then all you have to do is press the AV/ SOURCE button on your remote to select that number.

Hope this Helps

I just bought a second hand sumsung tv with a vrc attached. it has A/V connections but for some reason i cant hook it up to my dvd player...not sure WHY!?

connect up your scart lead, from the scart socket on dvd player to the scart socket on tvyer. There are usually to sockets to connect to on the tv, it will be AV1 or AV2. To view dvd, press source button on tv remote to select AV channel you have connected the dvd played to.

No sound coming through system when tv on but works fine with dvd

you need to link the tv sound out to the aux/tv in on the dvd. Or if the scart connecters on the rear of the tv have a 2 way arrow, showing input and output on the one scart socket (usually scart 2) and the dvd supports scart sound in use that.
Then select the source on the dvd that coresponds to the conecter used.

I have an Onn 15'' LCD TV Model No OLCD1504 and am trying to connect a DVD player that only has an AV out.I have tried connecting it with a Scart to Av lead in all combinations i.e. via freeview box,direct...

Some dvd players do not have the switching line fro your tv to automatically select scart input but you will be able to select via the tv remote if there are no buttons marked av it can be an oblong with an arrow pointing inwards or you may have to select via the source menu on the tv if you have your original handbook it will give a helpline number for Asda.SUPER8.

Vcr dvd recorders

I assume you mean a Digital Reciever. If so, and the Digital box has two scarts, connect as follows:- Connect the VCR scart to the "Input" scart of the DVD, the output scart of this to the "VCR" scart on the Digi-box, and the "TV" scart of this to the T.V. You need BOTH switched on. On the T.V. select to view the scart that the box is on and on the DVD select to view "Scart Input". You will now be viewing the VHS. When you want to view the DVD just change the selection.
