Sorry 2003 holden astra city i put another engine into it and have done a new fuel pump all the sensors feul relays coil pack sparkies timing belt etc etc etc nothing left to change and when she starts she revs up then dies and the time it doesnt start the throttle body and fuel pump dont cut in otherwise she does everything else and yes all timing ,plugs canister box , air flow meter etc etc etc is right and have been at this for 9 months without justise even change the maf sensor but it was of a manual and didnt help so put the other one back on . im going insane has anybody else been through this HELP LOL

You mean the engine will crank over but won't start an run ! Does it have spark ,is it getting fuel ? You need to find out what is missing ! If no spark , it could be crankshaft position sensor ,coil pack , PCM etc.. No fuel pressure , fuel pump , electrical - fuel pump relay ,inertia fuel cut off switch ! If you replaced the timing belt and the car has been doing this, it is possible you are 1 tooth out with the timing belt.

Turn key on for few seconds then off. repeat 4 times then try to start. if start ok indicates loss of fuel pressure. could be fuel pump

That is not a lot to go on but it could be anything fuel related. The feul pump seems plausible also check the feul filter it could be clogged. Unfortunetly it could also be some sensor. Like I said not that much to go on so I really cannot help that much sorry. Hope this helps in some way.

Turn the key to auxiliry but dont start it. Listen around the feul tak area to hear a humming sound. If you do,then fiel pump is fine. If not then replace fuel pump. If you do,then check timing belt

check for your fuel pump in the fuel tank put the key in turn it but dont try and strat it check if you get any noise from the pump if you havent that must be it then.if you haven got a light showin engine sign then is not your timing belt coz you got sensors next to the pully plass camshaft sensor and crackshaft sensor it all goes to the ecu if your timing was out the engine sign well pop up

If it is cranking with out turning over I would check the fuel pump and ignition relay, crank and cam sensors.
Basically you need to figure out if you have a spark issue or a fuel issue. (as long as you didn't have a serious overheating problem). One way to help you figure this out is by spraying in some starting fluid while cranking the engine. If it starts you have a fuel problem, if nothing then you have a spark problem (assuming you didn't blow the head gasket from overheating and was running normally before this happened).
Based on what you've already done here are my recommendations:
No spark: check ignition relay
No fuel: check fuel pump relay (aka shutoff relay, aka fuel pump shutoff relay), crank and cam position sensors, fuel filter.
There is also one other possibility, that the timing belt snapped. You would need to remove the timing cover to check this.

most common problem with these civics are the rotor and ignitor. i would reccommend starting with a new dist cap, rotor, and ignitor.
