Hey i have reciver vsx-520 sk and when i turn on it goes off after 2 seconds also i made reset to the factory defaultsThe problem was when i did listen to music on 49 volume was ok but when i turn on 50...

First of all check the impedance of the speakers are they below 4 Ohms or are you using speaker A and B together.
If the standby light is blinking it means you have an output short circuit, i.e you have blown one of the amplifier channels in your Receiver. Did it run hot or have you kept a DVD/CD player on top of the receiver ( one of the most common reasons for failure is blockage of ventilation on top of the receiver ).
To fix it you will need professional help as its quite complicated to fix a multi channel receiver .

I have no sound and wont shut off

Try resetting the device it?s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds OR Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturers website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Volume control

That's the max volume for the unit. It was built that way. The volume setting is a 5-bit value, which is why it comes out to a strange number, but if you count 0, there are 32 settings total. Hence 2 to the 5th power.

But no, that's as high as it goes.

IFP-395T (AA Batteries)

Probably a hardware issue, but the issue could also be with your USB port - make sure that there are no yellow exclamations next to the usb port in the PC device manager.

The battery indicator might not be stable during the following activities because they use large amounts of power:

1. The backlight of the LCD
2. Volume change
3. Pressing function keys and buttons
4. Reading the CD or files (Loading data to the memory)

The battery indicator shows the life expectancy of the battery based on current power usage. During these high power usage activities, that may only last a few seconds, the indicator will obviously show a lower level on the battery indicator. Once the high power activity has ended it will show a more accurate battery level.
