That is the problem, it doesnt have any part number. I can tell that it is similar to a Westinghouse remote but, I read about it with several comments from other customers, it seems to me that this part is not a "friendly user version" of all fans like this one. I will contact the company, and I saved the fan's instruction booklet. At least I have the name of the fan. Thank you for the answer anyway.

Hi M
Having the old remote control part number would assist in finding a replacement, but you could also use a generic programable remote control and add the required codes yourself.

See

Codes are Here:

My have a hunter ceiling fan with remote control.it comes on with the wall switch ,but the lights and remote control won't work .can someone please explain why?

Try changing the dip codes in the receiver & transmitter. I wouldn't advise putting in the same code for both fans. Also, you might need new receivers.

My light is working fine but the fan seems to have stopped working. I've tried on manual as well as fan auto. Changed batteries, but fan still does not turn on.

Is it an add-on remote? If it is, pull the fan switch & see if that does anything. Otherwise, you might need a new receiver.

I bought a 3 ceiling fans, i dont find the boxes so i do not know the code for each fan, so when i use the remote t control the other two fans start working. or when in the other room someone use the...

The code switches are very small two position slide switches. Start with one fan and open the handheld fan controller. You will see the small slide switches that set the code, they may be in the battery compartment and do not look like typical switches. However you set the code on the hand held, you need to set the same code on the fan itself. The switches on the fan are usually in the motor cage and will look very similar to the hand held switches.
Set new codes in one fan and set another code on one of the others. The third fan should be fine. Please message me if you have problems doing this.

It sounds that fan use to work and lights and you did correct thing by changing battery. I've had this problem and it just needs the reciever replaced. Reciever is located at electrical connection in ceiling. Just buy a new universal wireless remote and reciever at any home depot. if dont fill safe doing this task should call an electician to do job or someone with electrical skills.

Light not working by pull chain or remote.

I would try removing the remote part. Connect the two main (light & fan) wires direct to your house main. Then if the pull chain works then you just need a new remote unit.
