This problem has been reported by other users of the same system, with the following workaround:
Click here. You will need to download and update the bios to correct this behavior. Before doing so, please make sure you have full backups on external media of all your data and any software installation files that you have downloaded from the net...Occasionally bios updates can cause a loss of system data, and in that event you could be required to reinstall the OS and start anew. This is not normally a consequence, but you should be forewarned..It is also a good idea to make a written record of your bios settings before you apply the update, in the event that some settings are changed by default you will be able to reconfigure the system after the new bios is installed.
Check the parts numbers carefully to be sure you download the correct bios update for YOUR system...

Be careful and follow the instructions from Toshiba for updating the bios and you shouldn't have any difficulty...
