There should be buttons underneath or on the side usually marked input. Virtual Help Desk Read this link and follow the part about no remote.

How can I get my Toshiba TV to go to video with a magnavox universal remote

Are you talking about video as in a DVD player or a streaming device? Depending on your remote, there should be a button labeled "TV/Video", "Source", or "Input". You press that button multiple times to go through the options. Now, your TV may not actually have an input labled "Video". You will probably have choices of different kinds of inputs labeled "TV" or "Antenna", "Cable", or types of ports, such as HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3. As you press the "Source" button to go through the sources just pause a few seconds (or you may have to press OK or Select) to watch each HDMI port to see which one your DVD is connected to. I hope this helps. Sorry, but there are many possible variations from TV to TV and different remotes.

Can't keep the HDMI2 setting for watching streaming channels - TV automatically reverts to HDMI1

That's because you have connected another device in HDMI1, the TV detects it as power on, and then change HDMI2 to HDMI1.

Try to power off the device in hdmi1, or you can even try to change HDMI2 to HDMI1 port ;)

How do I switch from tv to my DVD

You aren't telling us what model Samsung TV you have, but if the remote has a "SOURCE" button on it, that is what you normally use to choose which input (HDMI1 HDMI2 AV IN etc.) you want to use.

How do you set up the tv for dvd use? Under the menu the setup options for dvd says N/A.

When you connect a device to a newer model flat panel, it assumes a source input witch in your case it may be video1 video2 hdmi1 hdmi2 or component 1 or 2 and so on. Hit the source button on your remote and toggle it until your reach the input source your are plugged into.

My ps3 and DVD system the TV says no signal and I followed the setup menu I tried to call customer support can't get through my number is 812-344-7640

You have to make sure you are selecting the right "source". Our TV remote has a source button which allows you to select "TV", "HDMI1", "HDMI2", etc. If you are trying to run the PS3 you have to make the right selection depending on how you hooked it up. I'm assuming you have hooked the PS3 up to the TV using a HDMI cable so it should be one of the HDMI choices for the TV.

Can't change from HDMI2 back to HDMI1

You need to change via tv selections option for tv, this should be possible by selecting the source for tv feed. This should give various options to select hdmi11, hdmi12, scart1 ect. If remote not working to change look on the tv itself for the control buttons, normally on the back to 1 side (rh from front) then pressing the correct button. If this does not work try turning power off to tv for a couple of minutes and then turning back on. Hope this helps.
