Question about Palm TX Handheld

I'm lost already!

I just brought my pda home and was following instructions to synch the pda is saying error documents to go cannot get user info

Sounds like your PDA is not communicating with the desktop software properly. (is it a refurbished unit?). I would recommend you un-install the desktop software completely, then do a hard reset on the unit. This should start you from scratch. Then, re-install the software and re-boot the TX and configure it, and try a brand new sync. If this doesn't help, you might have to return it. But first, try it with the desktop software on a DIFFERENT computer.

I want to delete a user on my zire31 pda

You should be able to hard reset the palm and erase all data. There should be a rest pin hole on the back, hold it and press the power button. All internal memory will be erased.

Hot Synch an existing PalmVx data to a replacement palmVx

The first thing you want to do is to do a Hard Reset on the used PDA that you bought as a replacement. To do that follow these steps:

1. Hold down the power button and then depress the small hole in the back with the tip of your stylus.

2. Continue to hold them both in until you see the Palm logo.

3. Let go of both of them and then follow the onscreen directions. You will want to answer yes and use the 5 way navigation button on the bottom of your pda and hit up so that is completes the reset. After that you will have to set up your touch screen and go through the tapping the target. After you have gone through all this then do a hotsync2.gif. It should clear up your problem. Best wishes.

I just bought a palm Z22 PDA. I used the AC charger to charge the Z22 but when I attempted to attach the USB synch cable I noticed that the plug is different from the plug on the AC charger. The USB...

I have concluded that the USB synch cable is not the correct one for my Palm Z22 PDA. There is only one point of attachment on the PDA and it is different from the plug on the USB synch chord. This was the last Palm Z22 PDA in the store so I think that the store clerk rounded up leftover parts and components of previous PDA kits and tried to make a complete set out of it. I am going to return the PDA to the store (Staples) in the next day or two.

Outlook calendar will not synch to handheld

Here are two resource pages which hopefully will help. The first is Palm support page with an update to download for users of Outlook 2003. The second is a discussion thread of Treo users troubleshooting the same problem. Even if the PDA is different, the issue (and error code) is practically the same, Rather than cut and paste what I think is relevant, read the thread and see if one of the solutions listed helps you.

Let us know how you make out.

PS - What PDA, operating systems (PC and PDA) and version of Outlook are you using?

Yes. You could try to send the info you need via e-mail using the built-in modem or beaming it throught its IR port. Since you lost your cradle synching with Intellisync wont be available for you. Let me know if it worked.

Tungsten E- Synch appears to work but nothing actually happens

1. Go to red/blue arrows in lower right corner
2. Right click and select custom
3. Make sure pc know WHAT you wish to transfer and direction
You might not be letting it overwrite anything
