Pull out the oven & unplug it. If element is screwed to the back wall of the inside of oven, you can remove the screws to detach the element or if not, there should be a metal protective plate at the rear of the oven to access the element screws/wiring. Replace with same.

Whirlpool gas oven is taking three times as long to cook something, what is wrong?

have you checked with an oven type thermometer for 350 degrees against the setting of 350 degrees,if its off very far then its the oven temp sensor in the upper left middle or right rear wall of the oven thats bad it looks like a small pencil type rod 2" to*' long it merely unplugs off the oven s control panel in the rear, you can test its resistance also to get an idea if it is your culprit, otherwise the oven element could have a hot spot in it and not letting all the current thru to properly heat the element,it will be dis-colored in that area

My oven won't go past 350 degrees

If you have multiple elements it is possible that one may be burned out and limiting the high end of operation.. Check all to make sure that none is open and replace as necessary.

Check attached site for parts and prices. If you can get the part number it is possible for you to be able to get it on ebay for less money. No harm in checking. Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

Hotpoint oven won't heat above 250 degrees broiler works fine as well as the stove top

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

My oven won't reach the appropriate temperature

It is a problem with neither of the two it is the sensor reads the oven temp and shuts off the heating element when it is reached, it is called the thermal probe or thermostat.

Model GBS307PDQ5: Oven preheated to 425 degrees.

F3 usually means, that the oven temp. sensor is bad and one need to replace it.
The fact, that it's not heating tells me, the fuse in the back also needs to be replaced (requires pulling out).

Set oven for 350 and won't climb past 177. funny

The oven probably got switched from showing degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius. (350 F = 177 C.) Try resetting that before you replace any parts.

5 yr old Jenn Air Electric oven won't maintain oven temperature

Technician just left our house with same issue. Jenn-Air had issued a technical bulletin as the temperature probe is mounted directly to the heating element, and measures the heat of the element, not the oven. Their fix is a revised temperature probe that goes at a 90 degree angle away from the heating element.

If your temperature is consistent, just off by a set amount of degrees, there is an adjustment you can make at the control panel.

Re: oven

the temp probe ( rod sticking out of rear wall inside oven ) should ohm out at 12-1300 ohms at room temp. the other possible cause is the heat relay on the control board is bad .this does not display a fault code.

Kenmore oven - Not heating up

Check the BACK of your temperature knob for an adjustment. I was ready to replace my heating elements when I accidently discovered the adjustment. Made the adjustment and no more problems. My oven now stays within 4 degrees of settings.
