Question about Roper REX5635E Dryer

1 Answer

Electric cooker not working.

I have Black & Decker electric rice cooker. It stopped functioning today. After I plugged it in, the light is not on. When I pressed the knob for cooking, the knob doesn't stay and the cooker doesn't work. If any of you know any solution for this, please let me know.

Thanks
Manohar

have your rice cooker replace for another new rice cooker ( to make sure, because it might be an internal short circuit) then call an electrician to check your electrical wirings.

first try to remove the pot, then push the button in middle of the ricecooker..if th cooker light turn on then the problem is the spring..try to open your rice cooker, you will see the spring inside, try to stretch the spring

Black & Decker rice cooker not working

Check the outlet where u plug in the rice cooker. It could be that the circuit breaker has kicked off or the fuse has blown. let me know how you make out. If that isnt the problem I have additional suggestioins

Rice cooker

First you have to make sure that the power outlet is working fine using a Multi Tester. Next is disconnect the Power Plug from the Rice Cooker and test continuity within the cord.  make sure those two are both working good.  next step is to open the Rice Cooker Bottom.  Again using a multi tester, Test the continuity of the Thermostat, make sure multi tester setting is on the ohm setting. reading should be zero, if reading is higher than 200 ohms, the thermostat is defective.  Which is the reason why your cooker is not turning on is due to an open in the circuitry.  Check warranty with the store you purchased it from or the manufacturer of the rice cooker.
