SOURCE: Humming noise coming from the front of an 04

Differential in trans axle

Won't be long before the trans will
have to come out

Save your money,lots of it

Flush the Power Steering Fluid, to see
if it makes any difference in sound

Won't do anything for trans, but both
fluids get changed every 30,000 miles,
so get caught up on those two.

You must replace wheel bearings in pairs to avoid loading the old bearing and, in time ruining your new bearing hub it is possible that you have already damaged the new hub

My 2004 montecarlo gets a loud vibration noise that sounds like comming from dash but cannot hear noise from outside but is so loud that i cant hear the radio with the windows up and does it only driv

This may sound radical, but while driving on an open road with no traffic, put the car in neutral and turn the motor off. If the sound goes away, the problem is in the motor or trans. If the problem persists, its probably a wheel bearing or something stuck in your wheel. Car will restart in neutral, and just drop it back into drive.

My 2004 Monte Carlo SS runs loud and it never did before. It's loud at low and high speeds, but seems to sound worse at low speeds. I do need a front end alignment (the car drifts to the left); would...

that depends on if you think the noise is coming from the motor, or the actual road noise that comes with driving , its probably the same at both speeds but sine you have less air and outside noise,, you hear it more at lower speeds. does it make the same noise when started but not moving? if you answer that yes, then its something else besides road noise, if it is no, then get your front end checked, it could be anything from a bad alignment to a bad wheel bearing, or bad brake ,

2001 monte carlo ls loud squealing when cold start comes from front very loud usally stops wheeten you drv off but at times squels for a few kilom

Check your belts for dried fluid on them because this happened to my '95 Monte, the radiator pipes leaked onto the belts then dried and caused the squeaking.

Vibration noise coming from dash

Check your tires, you could have a wheel weight that fell off, dirt in the wheel or a bulge on your tire. If your tires are in good condition then get them rebalanced.
